Southern Peach Belle Cocktail

teaWith summer just around the corner, I begin to think about clam bakes on the beach and evening cocktail parties on the deck. I always look for new cocktail recipes that I can use as a signature drink. Having a signature drink at a cocktail party is fun to create and share something new for my guests.

There are a lot of recipes for a beachy Southern Belle Cocktail.  Many use mostly bourbon, but I’m an Irish girl that loves her Irish Whiskey and it’s smooth taste.

Although I can’t host a party during this time of covid lockdown, I’m still able to sit out on the deck and watch the sunsets sipping a great tasting cocktail and listening to cocktail jazz.

Cheers!

Southern Peach Belle

  • 1½ ounces Jameson Whiskey or Redemption Bourbon (depending on how strong or smooth you like your drinks.)
  • ¼ of a fresh peach pieces
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • 4 ounces sweet iced tea
  • Add peach slices and spring of mint for garnish

In a cocktail shaker, muddle together the whiskey or Bourbon and fresh peach pieces.

Add the lemon juice and tea, put the top on the shaker, and shake well. Strain into a rock glass filled with ice.
