I have had ham for Easter dinner as long as I can remember. Made deliciously and well, it looks beautiful too. The pineapples and the cherries add the perfect touch to the taste and the sight of the meal. My favorite way to make this holiday staple!
- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (6 to 8 pounds)
- Whole cloves
- 1 can (20-ounces) sliced pineapples
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 12 maraschino cherries
Place the ham in a roasting pan. Score the surface with shallow diagonal cuts making diamond shapes; insert cloves into diamonds. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1 ½ hours. Drain the pineapple, reserving ¼ cup of the juice. Combine brown sugar and reserved juice. Pour over ham and arrange pineapple slices and cherries on ham. Bake uncovered, 30-45 minutes longer or until the ham is heated all the way through.
